PPGT Virtual: (Repro)cussions - Religion, Abortion & the Politics of Reproduction October 27, 2026 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM This is a Virtual Event - PPGT, Dallas, TX 75231 Religion is often invoked as the justification for abortion restrictions, but the relationship between faith and reproductive freedom is far more complicated than dominant political narratives suggest. This conversation will examine how religious beliefs have shaped abortion politics, how religious arguments are being used in policy debates, and the faith traditions and religious communities that support reproductive freedom. With Texas as a backdrop, this conversation will highlight progressive faith leaders who are challenging the assumption that “religious” necessarily means anti-abortion — and give attendees language for responding to religious arguments in reproductive-rights conversations.
