Sharon Morris, PPHP's Impact Award Recipient

Sharon Morris is a museum educator who grew up in White Plains, NY and raised her children in Scarsdale, NY. Having spent most of her life in the Westchester area, she has been a steadfast supporter of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic (PPHP) for over 25 years and worked to educate, support, and promote the varied programming offered by PPHP. Sharon has been directly involved in PPHP’s service roster, including piloting the program “The Birds and The Bees, how to talk about sex with your children” with Meg Goodman for the Westchester community and helping to launch the CenteringPregnancy prenatal program with Lisa Eisenstein, both emphasizing community and education.
Currently, Sharon is a member of Central in Action, a group associated with Central Synagogue which seeks to fight against systemic racism throughout New York City. She is also a member of WellMet, a women’s philanthropy group focusing on access, equality, and justice.
Sharon’s greatest achievement is her family. She is grateful for the ongoing love and support from her husband Colin, children Michael (Lucie), Julia (Eric), and grandchildren Milo and Coco.
