2026 Day of Action

Day of Action

Wednesday, February 25

All Day, Albany

The power to shape our future is in our hands—and it's time we seize it. As our country slips backwards, threatening decades of hard-fought progress, we cannot stand by. We are the force that will push back.

New York must take action to ensure our rights and freedoms are protected and that everyone can access the care they need to control their bodies, lives, and futures. Join us at Planned Parenthood's annual Day of Action where hundreds of advocates from across New York will come to Albany to push our elected officials to fund care and protect reproductive freedom.

This isn't just a chance to show up—it's an opportunity to fight back. We'll roll up our sleeves, meet face-to-face with lawmakers, and demand they act. New York can't just hold the line when so much is at stake. We need to be the force that moves our country forward. Our time is now!

Phone Bank

Thursday, December 11

5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Virtual

Together we achieved some amazing legislative victories in 2025, and now we need your help to get them over the finish line.  The following bills need Governor Hochul's signature:

  • NY Health Information Privacy Act (A.2141 Rosenthal/S.929 Krueger) legislation that will prohibit the sale of New Yorkers' electronic health data, forces companies to collect less data, delete the data they maintain on a more regular basis, and requires affirmative consent for electronic health data to be processed.
  • Furthering Legal Protections for Gender Affirming Care and Reproductive Health Care (A.5480 Bronson/S.4914 Hoylman-Sigal) legislation that creates stronger protections for reproductive health care and gender-affirming care providers, patients and helpers.
  • Hospital Transparency (A.3862 Rozic/S.3486 Hinchey) legislation which will give patients the information they need to know whether their local hospital provides the care they need.
  • Medical Aid in Dying (A.136 Paulin/S.138 Hoylman-Sigal) legislation that allows a terminally ill, mentally capable adult to request life-ending medication from a doctor that the person can self-administer at a time of their choosing, or never, should suffering become unbearable. The passage of this bill came after nearly a decade of incredible advocacy by Compassion + Choices, which we were proud to support.

Join us for a phone bank to get these wins signed into law!

Film Screening

Me Period Film Screening

Wednesday, December 17

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Virtual

Join us for a virtual film screening of Me Period, a film on puberty, menstruation, and health discovery: the conversations we’ve always needed. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Dr. Jennifer Lewis.

The journey often starts with the first period, but the way in which we come to know ourselves and our bodies begins with every conversation we’ve had, or haven’t had, before then.

Through the eyes of everyday families and celebrity mothers like Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tabitha Brown, Me Period explores the beauty and complexity of how we navigate sensitive conversations about our bodies and our periods.

Share Your Story

Every Planned Parenthood supporter and patient advocate has a story to tell as to why they support access to sexual and reproductive health care. Stories humanize our work to show Planned Parenthood's commitment to the health and wellness of the people and communities we serve through our health care services, education programs, and fearless advocacy. With sexual and reproductive health care under constant attack, it is essential that we share as many stories as possible to raise awareness and engage more people in our movement.
