The State of Women's Health on Long Island | November 15 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in Bridgehampton | Experts, advocates, and community leaders will come together to discuss critical issues impacting women’s health in our region. The conference will explore the current state of women’s healthcare on Long Island, covering topics such as access to care, reproductive health, mental health, and disparities in outcomes. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking panel discussions, hear from leading voices in the field, and collaborate on strategies to advance health equity for women across our communities.
Transgender Day of Remembrance | November 20 at 7:00 p.m. virtually | The Transgender Day of Remembrance is a powerful annual event honoring those whose lives were lost to anti-transgender violence. It raises awareness of hate crimes too often ignored by the media and publicly mourns community members who might otherwise be forgotten. This year’s memorial will focus on celebrating the lives, hope, and determination of those we’ve lost—remembering who they were, not how they died. We invite our community and allies to stand with us in love, reflection, and solidarity as we say their names and honor their memory.
Behind the Joy: A Film About Postpartum | Friday, November 21 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in Stony Brook | Join us for an unforgettable evening at Stony Brook University dedicated to maternal mental health and community healing. Behind The Joy, an international award-winning film, explores the unspoken struggles of postpartum depression and the impact on families, particularly in minority communities.
