In this training, you will learn more about the current abortion access landscape, how to volunteer with PPFA's National Volunteer Program, how to find local Planned Parenthood volunteer opportunities, actions you can take, and how to advocate for abortion access and destigmatize abortion. I'm For Planned Parenthood Week of Action Virtual Rally October 21, 2023 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Join us on October 21 from 2-3:30 PM ET for a virtual rally during the national week of action to learn more about the impacts of the United States ex rel. Doe v. Planned Parenthood Federation of America, et al. and how you can take action. The state of Texas is suing the three Texas Planned Parenthood affiliates and Planned Parenthood Federation of America for nearly $1.8 billion. This lawsuit, based on false allegations that Planned Parenthood health centers defrauded the state's Medicaid system, is part of a coordinated disinformation campaign to try to shut Planned Parenthood down and eliminate affordable health care options for Texans. The facts are clear: Planned Parenthood health centers did nothing wrong. They legally provided essential health care services to thousands of Texans, including birth control, STI testing & treatment, and cancer screenings.
