Join Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho to phone bank community members and educate them on the federal defund of Planned Parenthood.
No experience needed, we will host a brief training at the beginning of the meeting. Your body, Your Health, Your Rights Coffee hour conversations. Join Planned Parenthood for a community cafecito exploring the connection between reproductive rights and immigrant rights, and why access to healthcare and bodily autonomy should be protected for everyone regardless of immigration status.
We are honored to welcome the Tri-Cities Immigrant Coalition and WA Commission of Hispanic Affairs, who will share about the work they are doing to support immigrant families in our community and how you can get involved locally.
Participants will also help assemble whistle kits as an act of community care and preparedness while learning about knowing your rights.
Come sip cafecito, connect with neighbors, and build community together.

Virtual meeting on Microsoft Teams
Sign up for our virtual orientation on Microsoft Teams to become a volunteer. This orientation is for Whatcom and Skagit counties as well as the San Juan Islands in Western Washington. The general training will be about 2 hours with a break halfway through. We will then cover the Health Center Greeter training. We will discuss safety, policies, and volunteer best practices. Content warning: This orientation will cover materials that we would like to inform you of before the training. These include rape, abortion, navigating hostile encounters, and other subjects. If this is a concern for you, or if you have any accessibility requests, please reach out to Leydi.Hernandezquiros@ppgwni.org before the orientation. Join us in Whatcom County at Beach Cat Brewing for a monthly community gathering. Pints & Progress will take place on the last Tuesday of each month unless otherwise stated. The focus of this meeting will change month to month, but will they always be based in how our community can support reproductive and gender affirming healthcare. In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, join us for an interactive workshop focused on healthy relationships and consent.
Participants will explore what it means to build respectful, safe, and empowering relationships through conversations about communication, clear boundaries, and recognizing the signs of healthy and unhealthy dynamics.
This workshop is community-centered, welcoming, and designed to create a supportive space for learning and reflection. Opent to all, workshop is bilingual and, dinner will be provided.
